Over the years of my practice, my art has evolved dramatically. I have tried a number of different mediums — Sculpture, painting, and printmaking to name a few — but drawing seems to be a constant throughout my creative ebbs and flows. My affinity for music is another constant element of my art. The portraits I’ve completed for THE AUDIO FILES series is a great example of my admiration of great musicians. I often find myself referencing movies and TV in my work, as well.

 

During my time at Langara College and Emily Carr University, I’ve figured out my artistic process (through trial and error, of course). I thoroughly plan a project before beginning, which in turn allows my style to shine, and for my art to speak for itself. Observing Grady’s meticulous art process has helped me a lot as well. His attention to detail has inspired me to focus more on polishing my pieces, and his constant encouragement has made me a better, more confident artist overall.​
